Matter of Stuff, the contemporary design & manufacturing consultancy established in
2014, is looking for a reliable Office Administrator. The ideal candidate will undertake
administrative tasks, ensuring the rest of the staff has adequate support to work
Matter of Stuff provides three key services to their clients, including research &
development of new manufacturing processes and materials, furniture consultancy and
procurement, and bespoke manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritising and working with little supervision.
They will be self-motivated and trustworthy. The tasks of the office administrator will
include bookkeeping and mentoring office assistants.


● Performing bookkeeping tasks such as: invoicing, monitoring accounts
receivable, making payment and budget tracking.
● Manage online and offline order and shipping logistics: coordinating orders with
suppliers and customers.
● Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
● Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other
● Assist directors whenever necessary
● Maintaining general office files, including job files, vendor files, and other files
related to the company’s operation
● Proven experience as an office administrator.
● Previous experience in an ecommerce business is preferred.
● Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
● Excellent spoken and written english.
● Excellent organisational and leadership skills
● Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
● Excellent knowledge of Sage One or similar, MS Office and office management
software (ERP etc.)
● A strong interest in design will be an advantage
●BSC/BA in office administration or relevant field is preferred.
