MOS RESIDENTIAL DESIGN WORKSHOP | HAND BLOWN GLASS
Applications are open for our upcoming residential workshop in hand-blown glass in Tuscany, Italy.
TUTOR AND GUESTS
The workshop will take place between the glass-blowing facilities in Colle Val d’Elsa and OCRA Montalcino.
The residency will focus on hand-blown glass as a medium to create a tableware object commissioned by Matter of Stuff.
The designers in residence will have 5 full days to come up with a great design.
Invited guests include Domitilla Dardi, curator; Camilla Brunelli, product designer; Pia Wustenberg, founder of Utopia & Utility; Cristina Felici, archaeologist.
We will also visit Castello Banfi wineries and their museum of glass, experiencing first hand the process of wine making, while tasting some of the best Banfi wines.
To spice things up, an internal competition will be held, and the winning designs will be produced and exhibited with our gallery Matter of Stuff during London Design Festival 2018.
